HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | HAPPENINGS Gurinder Chadha honoured in Queen's birthday list 18th June 2006  11.15 IST By Agencies   Acclaimed NRI filmmaker Gurinder Chadha is among the hundreds of celebrities and civilians, who have been honoured in Britain's Queen Elizabeth II birthday honours list. From the world of film and music an officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) went to film director Gurinder Chadha of "Bend it Like Bechkam' and 'Bhaji on the Beach' fame. Chadha’s last movie Bride And Prejudice failed to make its mark, though the film did an average business in UK. Chadha’s next project will be a film version of the 80s soap 'Dallas', which is due for release next year. Related Gurinder Chadha
