Veteran actor-cum producer-director Dev Anand on Wednesday announced his next venture - an English movie to be shot in Croatia with a Croatian actress.
"I am charged, excited and inspired after visiting the European country, which has so far remained untouched by the Indian filmmakers. I will make another trip to the country shortly to finalise my next film, which will be shot there," the evergreen hero said in New Delhi.
The English film will have a Croatian female face, as the leading actress, the filmmaker said, who is credited with introducing several new faces in the Hindi film industry and discovering exquisite lands outside the country.
"I am looking for a young, beautiful Croatian girl as the leading lady of my movie. There will be two to three Indian actors and rest all of them will be Croatians. I myself might consider playing a role in the film - may be that of a father", the star said.
With a tentative title 'When Heart Beats Are The Same', the 100-minute movie "would be a story of universal emotions", he said. The film would be shot non-stops in seven weeks beginning from coming November.
Taking the task of shooting in the new land as a challenge, Dev Anand said, "I was the first to go to Nepal, Sikkim, Europe and even United States in the late 60s to shoot films. Now, once I go there, I hope other filmmakers will follow suit soon".
