HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | HAPPENINGS Sanjay Dutt visits Siddhi Vinayak temple28th Nov 2006 10.00 IST By Agencies Ahead of verdict in the 1993 bomb blast case, accused and Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt Monday offered prayers at Siddhi Vinayak temple at Prabhadevi in Mumbai. TADA court has summoned the actor today for the verdict. 
Dutt visited the temple at 6.30 pm and offered prayers, sources said adding he was accompanied by close friend and producer-director Sanjay Gupta . Every time he goes to court, Dutt visits the temple first to pay obeisance to Lord Ganesha. Dutt recently visited the Dagdu Halwai Ganpati temple in Pune with the permission of the court. Dutt has been summoned to appear today before the TADA court in Mumbai which is likely to give verdict on his alleged role in the 1993 bomb blasts case. Dutt is charged under Section 120-b IPC (conspiracy), Section 3 (3) of TADA (P) act for keeping three AK-56 rifles, its ammunition, 9 mm pistol, its cartridges and hand grenades which were part of the consignment smuggled by Tiger Memon to set off a series of blasts in Mumbai on March 12, 1993. Dutt is also charged under Section 5 of TADA (P) Act for possessing weapons, Section 6 of the same act (for contravening provisions of other acts) and Section 3 and 7 read with Section 25 of Arms Act. According to CBI, Abu Salem, Baba Chouhan, Mansoor Ahmed, Samir Hingora and late Hanif Kadawala had gone to Dutt's house and delivered weapons including three AK-56 rifles, ammunition and hand grenades. Dutt kept one AK-56 rifle and a pistol with himself and returned the rest of the arms which were taken away by Mansoor Ahmed from Sanjay's residence to the house of co-accused Zebunisa Kazi.
