HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | HAPPENINGS HC refuses to stay release of 'Nishabd'28th Feb 2007 11.23 IST By Agencies The Delhi High Court Tuesday refused to stay the release of Ram Gopal Varma 's much-hyped film Nishabd , starring mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan . While dismissing a petition filed by Kanungo Media Private Limited, the producer of Bengali film "Nishabd", Justice A K Sikri said "you have approached court very late, just 10 days before the release of the film Nishabd. It is not possible for us to grant any kind of injunction. 
"You have missed the bus only because of your delay. The law laid down in the Act is clearly in your favour," he said. Kanungo Media Private Limited had approached the court seeking a stay on the film on the ground that it has exclusive copyright and trademark of the title ‘Nishabd’.
