Shyan Munshi back with the 'Bong Connection'

Model-turned-actor Shyan Munshi who had been involved with the Jessica Lall murder case as an eyewitness and was accused of turning hostile, is now looking for a fresh start in Bollywood.

With the release of Anjan Dutt-directed 'The Bong Connection,' recently starring Raima Sen and wife Peeya Roy Chaudhary, the actor says he seems to have made a beginning again.

The Mumbai-based actor says the entire period, during which he was detained and questioned by the police, was "very trying and traumatic."

"It was a very tough period. Moreover, I hadn't even completed a year of my marriage." But he is trying to come to terms with it. "It was part of life and I take it as that. I also believe that everything happens for a reason," says Shyan.

The actor, who is in his late twenties, began his career as a model and was first seen in the video of music band Aryan's, "Ye Hawa Kehti Hai Kya..." before he got his first break as an actor in Sujoy Ghosh's 'Jhankar Beats'.

Last he was seen in bit roles in My Brother Nikhil and Aahista Aahista .

So, does he think that if this eyewitness episode has not had happened he would have been much better place in his acting career? He turns philosophical as he says, "I don't think all that. I think success will come you at the time when it's due to you. Now, I strongly believe in something called faith."
