A weeklong film festival showcasing the movies of Bollywood actor Shashi Kapoor on Saturday began in Omani capital Muscat.
During the festival, Kapoor, who is in Muscat on a weeklong visit, would interact with the audience and share anecdotes and memories of his films with them. The producer-actor Kapoor would also participate in the Unity -- a relief effort humanitarian initiative.
The movies to be shown in the festival include 'Jab Jab Phool Khile', 'Haseena Maan Jaayegi', Deewar , 'Aa Gale Lag Jaa', 'Junoon' and Kabhie Kabhie . On September 7, a musical tribute would be held to pay the respect to the legendary artiste.
"It's hugely exciting that a star, who consistently thrilled spectators throughout his film career has agreed to participate in a film festival here," organisers said.
