Brett Lee set to begin his Bollywood innings

Australian pace spearhead Brett Lee is all set to begin his Bollywood innings starring alongside Harman Baweja in the soon to be released Victory .

Harman's debut film Love Story 2050 may have sunk without a trace at the box office but he has found an unlikely admirer in Lee.

"He is a fantastic fellow. We had good fun shooting for the film. Being a professional actor, Harman was of great help during the shoot," Lee said about his experience of working with Harman.

Lee plays himself in 'Victory', a film on the journey of a small town cricketer (Harman). The movie, due for an October release, also stars Amrita Rao and has guest appearances by over 30 international cricketers.

These include top Aussie players like swashbuckling middle-order mainstay Michael Hussey and pacer Stuart Clark besides legends like Allan Border.

The film also has a few Indian and New Zealand cricketers in the long list of guest appearances.

However, of the entire bunch, Lee has the most substantial role, which also sees him sing with the leading lady.

The affable Aussie said despite being a rookie himself, Harman helped him fine-tune his performance in the movie.

"He helped me with my performance and I, in turn, taught him some cricket on the sets," Lee, who was in New Delhi to launch the new collection of 'Timex' watches, told reporters Friday.

"Personally, Harman came across as a very fine person and was fun to be with," he added.

Lee's music and Bollywood plans in India are hardly a secret and he has already sung in a music album by the legendary Asha Bhosle .

But after 'Victory', Lee has no other movies coming up and the 31-year-old tearaway bowler said he would wait for a good script to come his way before committing to any new project.

"For the moment it's just 'Victory' but after that who knows. I am always open to good offers but cricket is my number one priority. Besides, I just hate being away from my young family. So everything has to be balanced," he said.

On the music front, Lee said he was working on an album to be released by the end of this year.

"My music album is well on track and would be releasing soon. As for Asha ji, I would love to team up with her again," Lee, who took time off to attend Bhosle's concert in Australia earlier this year, said.

Besides movies and music, Lee also has a line of men's wear and would soon be launching a range of affordable innerwear designed by him. He would, in fact, model for it.
