The actor was admitted to the Mumbai hospital on Saturday after he complained of abdominal pain. 
While uncertainty remained over the superstar’s health, his son Abhishek Bachchan spoke to the media and clarified that his father was doing fine. Speaking to reporters outside the Lilavati hospital, Abhishek said: “Dad has been put on medication and he is already responding to it. He has shown signs of improvement, but the doctors have advised to keep him under medical observation for 48 to 72 hours.” About the ailment, Abhishek says the medical tests show that Mr. Bachchan has “intestinal obstruction” and that his condition would hopefully improve in the coming days. Abhishek also thanked the media and fans for praying for his dad’s health.
