HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | HAPPENINGS 'Karzzzz' premieres at Abu Dhabi fest20th Oct 2008 09.30 IST The Himesh Reshammiya starrer Karzzzz had its international premiere at the Middle East International Film Festival (MEIFF) at Abu Dhabi. The movie, a remake of Subhash Ghai’s hit ‘Karz’ from 1980, tells the reincarnation tale of a rockstar taking revenge from a woman who killed him in his previous life. The movie stars Himesh, Urmila Matondkar , Shweta Kumar , Gulshan Grover , Rohini Hatangadi and Danny Denzongpa . 
The film premiered at the MEIFF on October 16, a day before its India release. "It is a privilege to have 'Karzzzz' selected as the only Hindi film to be premiered at the Abu Dhabi Film festival," said producer Bhushan Kumar after the screening on October 16. The festival also had the screening of two other films with Indian connection. The first was Toronto-born Richie Mehta's 'Amal,' – an unabashedly lovely film about a poor auto rickshaw driver from New Delhi. Another movie with an Indian connection Sir Richard Attenborough's magnum opus 'Gandhi' was screened in the ‘Special Presentation’ section of the festival.
