Aishwarya Rai has emerged the most bankable Indian actor for Hollywood in a new Forbes list.Only six Bollywood stars feature on the American business magazine’s list of ‘Hollywood's Most Valuable Actors’. Aishwarya Rai, though ranked at 387th position, is the top Indian on the list that’s based on the bankability of actors around the world as voted by members of the global entertainment industry. Ash is also the only female Indian on the list. The five other Bollywood stars who’ve made it to the list include Aamir Khan (ranked 540), followed by Shahrukh Khan (735), Salman Khan (753), Irrfan Khan (825) and Hrithik Roshan (1059). 
Aishwarya has worked in a couple of international projects like Bride And Prejudice , Mistress Of Spices , The Last Legion and the recently released Pink Panther 2 . She is also on the wishlist of Ben Kingsley for a film on Taj Mahal. While Aamir, Salman and Hrithik have yet to make their mark internationally, Irrfan Khan has been part of international projects like The Namesake , A Mighty Heart and the Oscar nominated Slumdog Millionaire . Interestingly, the list doesn’t include Anil Kapoor and Freida Pinto who have become big names in Hollywood after the ‘Slumdog’ success. |
