Deepika Padukone to do cricket commentary

No, the actress is not taking on a new profession. But she’d reportedly be a guest commentator in the forthcoming T20 world cup to promote her next release Love Aaj Kal by director Imtiaz Ali .

According to reports, Deepika will be in London along with co-star Saif Ali Khan to catch all the cricket action live during the T20 World Cup matches and to promote ‘Love Aaj Kal’ - the maiden venture of Saif’s production house, Illuminati Films.


Saif is not leaving any stone unturned to promote his first project. He has extensive overseas publicity plans for ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and since T20 is starting from June 5th, the actor-producer has planned a special celebrity cricket match around that time. So Kareena Kapoor won’t mind handling a bat and Ranbir Kapoor may bowl Deepika out.

The match will be between veterans who will represent Kal (Yesterday), and today’s generation representing Aaj, going along with theme of ‘Love Aaj Kal’ which deals with the differences between today’s love and the way love existed three-four generations back. The two teams will be lead by Saif and Deepika, respectively.

Well, we can expect some genuine cricketainment.
