Kylie Minogue song: director wants catchy words!

The whole of India knows by now that Kylie is in India to shoot for a song and a few scenes for director Anthony D'Souza ’s film Blue . But according to some recent reports Kylie Minogue’s song is not yet ready.

Even though the song has been recorded, D’Souza thinks something is lacking in it. He wants to make the song sound catchier in terms of lyrics.


The director’s quoted as saying: “I want that one hook or catch-line that would give that song an extra global push appeal to go with Bollywood-goes-international image represented by Kylie Minogue in ‘Blue’.”

The song’s lyrics are written by Abbas Tyrewala who doesn’t write songs on regular basis but made an exception because it was a Rahman composition. He has painstakingly written two versions, one for male (Hindi) and another for female (English), and the two versions have been recorded separately, keeping in mood the opposing thoughts and culture.

However, D’Souza wants something on the lines of ‘Chhaiya Chhaiya’ or ‘Jai ho’ and is sure that he will get the right phrase before song’s shooting kick-starts with Kylie and Akshay Kumar .
