Shiney Ahuja to undergo DNA test

According to zonal deputy commissioner of police Niket Kaushik, police has requested the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) at Kalina to conduct DNA test on Shiney who is presently in police custody on the charge or raping his maid on Sunday.

The director of FSL says the laboratory has already begun “the process of retrieving any semen stains from items collected from the actor's house”. The results from these tests will then be compared to results from the vaginal smears of the victim taken earlier this week. If the two match, it would almost prove that there was a sexual intercourse between the actor and the maid. Whether it was rape or consensual would still need to be proved in the court.


Meanwhile, the police have also obtained the school certificate of the maid which claims she’s 20 years old. However, a medical test would still be conducted to find her age and determine whether she’s a minor or adult.

Shiney’s police detention ends today. Public prosecutor S S Kasthure said he may seek extension of the actor's custody when he is produced in court on Thursday.
