Even as Girlfriend continues to get mixed reactions from audience, actress Isha Koppikar says she was more comfortable doing intimate scenes with her female co-star Amrita Arora than she would have been with a man.

Isha strongly defends ‘Girlfriend’ with the assertion that there is more to the movie than mere skin exposure. According to her, the heated response movie has got from certain groups and sections, is unjust.

“The movie talks about characters who cannot get along in a male relationship. It particularly focuses on the obsession of a girl for another. What is so offensive about it,” Isha throws back a rhetorical question.

Asked on why she took up the offer to act in the movie, Isha said: “I took it up, since I love shocking people. I don't want to do run-of-the-mill movies, in which you do the same roles over and over again. If other actors can't go beyond what they are doing, that's because of their limitations as actors.”

When asked about her onscreen chemistry with her co-star Amrita Arora, Isha gave a frank reply without mincing any words.

“I was far more at ease with Amrita. We worked like two thorough professionals and took our intimate scenes just like any other job. I hate doing such scenes with men I am not comfortable with,” Isha concluded.
