Superstar Amitabh Bachchan says that his forthcoming film 'Deewar: Let's Bring Our Heroes Home' deals with many issues including PoW and political rigidity between India and Pakistan.

The movie, set to release on Friday, stars Amitabh, Sanjay Dutt , Akshaye Khanna and Amrita Rao . It has been produced by Gaurang Doshi, who teamed up two years ago with Bachchan for Aankhen .

"It is a story of a group of Indian prisoners of war languishing in Pakistan for many decades. They haven't seen their sons and daughters for many years and are now determined to break free and go home," said Bachchan.

Amitabh says that the film tackles many issues at the same time. On one hand it addresses itself to a serious political problem - of prisoners of war - between India and Pakistan, on the other hand it is an emotional story about a father and a son.

"Akshaye plays my son in the movie and Sanjay plays the mercenary who helps us escape from the prison," said Big B.

The only female presence in the movie is Amrita Rao, who plays a Pakistani girl.

When asked whether this Deewar would turn out to be a hit like his previous movie of the same title some 30 years ago, Bachchan said the two movies are very different from each other and it was upon the audience to decide whether the new movie will be a hit or not.
