The film, a remake of the National Award winning Telugu movie “Kalisundam Raa”, is based on a cliched storyline. At the center of the story are two feuding families. Fardeen Khan plays the grandson who tries to end the feud.
He tries his best to win over the elders to make the families forget their differences and effect reconciliation. But there comes a situation when he is forced to sacrifice his love (Richa Pallod) to bring together the two fighting families. What happens next is, of course, foreseen!
Ravi
Shankar, the director of the film has convincingly created a joint-family ambience in the plot by focussing on hordes of uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces. But he keeps these characters in the story merely for entertainment value.
Fardeen Khan shows a broader emotive range in the role of a callow grandson who is troubled by the fact that his late father was responsible for the feud between the two families. Despite his urban looks he plays a simple guy who respects the values of a joint family.
Opposite him newcomer Richa Pallod seems to ham. Her expressions are bland and her dialogue delivery needs much sprucing.
