After making a successful debut in “Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai”, junior jumping jack Tusshar Kapoor is back again playing a similar role opposite Esha Deol in Sanjay Chhel’s “Kyaa Dil Ne Kahaa”.
The film, a remake of the Telugu hit “Swayamvaram”, is a romantic comedy with some emotional family drama from the likes of Rajesh Khanna, Smita Jaykar, Raj Babbar and Neena Kulkarni.
Tusshar plays Rahul, a confused lover who doesn’t believe in marriage but wants to be ‘just lovers’ with Esha (Esha Deol).
Esha
on the other hand demands a commitment from him. He refuses and she walks out on him.
What’s surprising in the story is that instead of taking his stand Rahul keeps coming back to Esha but doesn’t agree to marry her. Esha too softens her stand and breaks into a song with him time and again. But when she asks him to marry her, his answer is a simple ‘no’.
At last Esha decides that she has had enough and agrees to marry the guy of her parents’ choice. It is at her marriage mandap that the real drama unfolds when Rahul storms in.
Here, director Sanjay Chhel springs a surprise. Esha leaves the mandap and tells Rahul that she is willing to have a relationship on his terms. But now Rahul has had a change of heart. He asks her to marry him. Happy ending…
