Being the directorial debut of Ravi Dewan, whose forte is fights and stunts, the film relies too heavily on action sequences more than anything else. The film’s climax in particular is replete with adrenalin savvy sequences of bomb blasts and gunfights.
The
film is based on an oft-repeated subject that does not leave much impact on the viewer. Even the director’s presentation is shoddy and screenplay is marred with jerky editing.
Still there are a few (and far between) shots that leave an impression on the audience. These include Sunil Shetty’s death sequence just before the climax and Ashutosh Rana's portions in the first half.
While Sunil Shetty merely renders a mediocre performance, Ashutosh Rana impresses with his histrionic range. On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt's character has been incorporated in the story just to enhance the star-value of the film.
The same goes for Preeti Jhangiani who appears in just-for-the-heck-of-it role.
Vinod Kambli shows a flair for comedy in a light-hearted role.
On the whole the film might have had the greater appeal had its director lent it a better emotional angle rather than relying heavily on the battle of brawns.
