Produced, directed and edited by Feroz Khan, Janasheen is all gloss and sheen without any substance. The film’s story is jagged and often veers into directions that break the pace of narrative. However, the film has been shot in some of the real exotic locales like Australia, Afghanistan and Thailand, and that adds to its cinematic beauty.

Another

thing that might work for the movie is the coming together of father-son duo (Feroz and Fardeen) on reel for the first time. Playing a fugitive from Aghanistan, Feroz Khan looks dashing in his baldpate and kohled eyes. Fardeen too looks handsome playing an aspiring biker whose personal life is replete with tragedies.

However, the presence of Celina Jaitely and newcomer Pinky Hirani in the movie appears only for the purpose of skin-show. Celina is portrayed as Fardeen’s childhood friend and a violinist who is often dressed in Bikini or some other dress that flaunts her cleavage more than her musical skills. Pinky Hirani as the Coke-guzzling sensuous belle fails to titillate.

So, style and skin show is what Janasheen offers in abundance. However, what it does not offer is a good story and noticeable performances from the starcast.

Fardeen does his customary hamming act once more while Celina has thankfully been given only limited footage in the film.

The only thing worth a comment in the movie is the bike racing sequences that gets the adrenaline rushing. On the whole the movie is a drab.
