Tony (Bobby Deol) is an orphan who grew up on the streets making his living by hook or crook. He does everything from petty thefts to coercing people to make an easy buck.
One day, after a dangerous assignment, he goes to a musical show just to relax and get the heat out of his head. There, he falls asleep and is later woken up by the beautiful stage singer Sapna (Priyanka Chopra).
Tony is smitten by Sapna at first sight and starts chasing her with the dream of marrying
her. But there is a big status gap between the two. While Sapna is a rising star in the singing industry, Tony is nothing more than a roadside goon. Moreover, Sapna’s parents have already fixed her marriage with a doctor.
Unable to stand the thought of losing Sapna, Tony starts thinking of some way to make big money so as to be able to ask for Sapna’s hand from her parents.
He gets this chance to make good money with an offer through his regular underworld agent to coerce a government officer into signing some papers. Tony takes the assignment. He goes straight to the Drug and Food Administrator Dr. Khurana's office and threatens to kill his family members if Khurana did not sign the papers.
Unfortunately for Tony, Dr. Khurana is Sapna’s father.
The deal allowed the corrupt businessman Raj Mallya to release his spurious drugs in the market while Dr. Khurana gets convicted for life and his family ostracized from the society. In the face of insult, Khurana’s wife, Sapna’s mother commits suicide.
Tony realizes the blunder he has committed and sets out to put the things straight once again. He knows that he has to get a confession out of Raj Mallya in order to prove Sapna's father innocent. But for that he would have to risk his life.
