'Madhoshi'

Madhoshi marks the directorial debut of Tanveer Khan. For his first movie - starring Bipasha Basu, John Abraham and Priyanshu Chatterjee - Tanveer weaves an intricate love story out of a tragedy.

In the movie Bipasha plays a fine arts student named Anu, a bright girl from a happy and affluent family. But Anu's world shatters when her sister and brother-in-law are killed in the horrifying 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York. A mentally shocked Anu

goes into perfect solitude.

To get Anu to start her life again, her parents decide to get her married. So they get her engaged to Arpit Oberoi (Priyanshu Chatterjee), who is a well known ad-filmmaker with a bright future ahead of him.

Not long after his engagement to Anu, Arpit gets an international ad Film project and leaves for the U.S. During these days Anu comes across another young man named Aman (John Abraham), who is a member of the anti-terrorist organization.

Aman is a handsome guy with unflagging spirit to root out the evil of terrorism. No sooner than Anu comes to know him and his purpose in life, she begins to fall in love with him.

It is now her real dilemma starts. On one hand, she is engaged to a man who accepted her in her days of despair. On the other is a man with whom she connects on a very deeper level.

Divided in her mind, Anu resorts to a desperate measure just a few days before her scheduled marriage. She cuts the veins of her wrists. Although Anu survives the suicide attempt, the diagnosis of her mental condition shocks everyone - she suffers from Schizophrenia…
