Arjun is to Tamil films what Suresh Gopi is to Malayalam cinema and Upendra to Kannada cinema.
Ironically, like Suresh Gopi, Arjun, the action hero, is also desperate for a hit.
Therefore, much is at stake for Arjun. If "Chinna" clicks at the box office it would give Arjun a shot in the arm. No wonder, he is pinning high hopes on the film, which has been produced by Srinivasa Raju.
"Chinna" has Arjun playing a toughie, who is reformed by his love interest, Sneha. It is a change of sorts for Sneha, too, who normally confines herself to homely roles. In Chinna, she sheds her reservations and oozes oomph!
Dina's music is bound to catch popular fancy. Already a song in the rain featured on Arjun and Sneha is the talk of the
town.
The Sundar-directed film has, apart from Arjun and Sneha, Kiran, Manivannan, Vijayakumar, Ramesh, Vinu Chakravarthy, Sharmili and Ponnambalam.
Another highlight of the romantic action film is an item number by Kiran, who makes a special appearance.
The movie is being made in Telugu too. Manivannan lightens the proceedings with his special brand of comedy.
While Prasad handles the camera, Thalapathi Dinesh is the stunt Choreographer.
The film which has been shot in Dhanushkodi, Rameswaram, Ooty, Goa and Chennai will hit the theatres on July 15
