Aashiq Banaya Aapne is a story of three young people in a complex love triangle. The movie stars Emraan Hashmi, Tanushree Dutta and Sonu Sood in the lead roles.
The film is directed by Aditya Datt and has music by Himmesh Reshammiya.
Karan (Emraan Hashmi) is an introvert who keeps his feelings concealed within himself. He loves Sneha but has never expressed his emotions to her.
Karan’s childhood friend Vicky (Sonu Sood) is an extrovert who knows many ways to express love. He is also a flirt who knows how to woo a girl very well.
Sneha (Tanushree) is a caring, ambitious girl who respects other people’s feelings. She studies in the same college with Karan. The two share a friendly relation. However, she has little inkling of Karan’s feelings for her. And he has no courage to tell her that he loves her.
All three lives change when Vicky joins Karan and Sneha in college. Vicky is an outspoken man who begins to attract Sneha. Fearing Vicky's intentions, Karan tries to talk him out of his relationship with Sneha. But Vicky assures him that this time he really is in love with Sneha and not flirting. Karan feels he has lost the only woman he ever loved.
The closeness between Vicky and Sneha grows. But one single mistake by Vicky shatters all the trust Sneha had in him. A distraught Sneha turns to Karan for support in this time of emotional pain.
Over time, Karan finally musters the courage to propose to Sneha. The two decide to get engaged and then get married.
Just as Sneha and Karan are about to get engaged, Vicky re-enters their lives. The three friends reunite for one night, and that night changes their lives forever.
