'Family - Ties Of Blood'

Family is the story of two families, two worlds totally different from each other and how these worlds collide with catastrophic consequences one fateful night.

Amitabh Bachchan plays the lead role of gangster Viren Sahai, who is suave, sophisticated and ruthless.

Akshay Kumar , who has made his mark as a comic actor in Bollywood, plays Shekhar Bhatia.

‘Family’ marks the debut of Aryeman, who plays Aryan – the

younger brother of Shekhar Bhatia.

Bhumika Chawla plays Bhumika, the wife of Shekhar Bhatia. Dedicated and serious about her work, she has a wacky sense of humor outside the hospital. She loves Shekhar and his family and believes that family is not only about blood ties, but more about love ties.

Sushant Singh plays the character of Viren Sahai's beloved son.

Viren Sahai knows the dark side of life. He also knows the power of money and the power of might and how to make maximize both. And when it comes to his family, he will hurt, humiliate…even kill…anyone who dares threaten them.

Simple, hard working and sentimental, Shekhar’s life is full of sunshine and laughter. When he's not busy cooking up dishes in a restaurant, he's busy cooking up excuses for his younger brother. He is sure that his love will safeguard his family.

Pampered and easygoing, Aryan is the younger brother of Shekhar, who just has to utter ‘brother I am in problem, come and save me’ and big brother will come running. But one terrible day he grows up and comes into his own with the realization that family comes first, he doesn't care what happens to himself.

Spoilt, egoistic, heartless is Viren Sahai's beloved son. He will indulge in the most heinous of crimes, confident that his powerful father will always save him. And when it comes to his family, why, he comes first, family be damned.

The families of Viren Sahai and Shekhar Bhatia collide with catastrophic consequences one fateful night. What ensues is a bloody battle between the two families where the unwritten rule is that the loyalty of the family comes before anything and everything else.

Instigated by tragedy and fuelled by revenge, the two families come face to face on an irrevocable collision course that will spark an inferno, consuming and destroying everything that comes in the way.

Fates will be determined by the complex and combative relationships between father, son, brother, wife, sister, daughter…

Viren Sahai finds too late that you may have everything - power, success, wealth, fear - but if you don't have family, you have nothing.

When all seems lost, when nothing remains to be won, in the end, all that matter is family, just Family.
