'Naksha'

'Naksha' is the story of a map that holds the key to a mystery that lies buried under the dust for centuries – a secret so powerful and potent that it can change lives forever.

Sunny Deol plays Veer – a tough, nature loving Forest Officer, who can fight his way to the densest of jungles and toughest villains. Vivek Oberoi plays Vicky – the half-brother of Veer – who is a party loving prankster and who loves to

flirt, to frolic and has never done any worthwhile work in his life.

The sexy Sameera Reddy plays Riya – an intrepid anchor for a TV show called Travel India. Jackie Shroff plays Bali Bhaiyya – who was once a learned, respected archeologist till greed and ambition got better of him and murder became his weapon.

The story starts with the search of an archeologist named Professor Kapil Acharya who prefers to die with an ancient map, rather than let it fall into the hands of evil. Years later, his son Vicky, aided by a copy of the same map that he comes across by chance, leaves on a journey to discover what it was that his father dedicated his life in searching.

The re-emergence of this quest attracts the evil forces again, as Vicky is abducted by the villain’s henchmen. Help comes in the guise of Vicky’s elder stepbrother Veer, who is sent there by Vicky’s mother to get her son back.

Vicky is grateful to be rescued but not too happy about his brother’s mission to take him back. Now starts a hilarious tug of war between the two brothers both of whom are adamant on their decisions.

Along this journey through the dense forests, high mountains and deep ravines, they encounter one more ally in Ria.

Pursued by the villain and his forces of darkness, this trio sets off on the journey to unravel the mystery behind the map and here unfolds an adventure that is entertaining, mystical, enthralling and pulsating.

Do they succeed in this quest? Are some secrets meant to remain hidden in the mists of time? Or do they see the light of day? Does evil manage to overshadow the brilliance of good?

Directed by Sachin Bajaj, Naksha is scheduled to release on September 8, 2006
