From Old Tappan, New Jersey. Attended Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan. Graduated Boston College with a double major in Finance and Theater. Recieved an MFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University.

He graduated from Boston College and has a master's degree in acting from DePaul.

His wife Jaime is the district director in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills for health care services and fund-raising for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
