Vibha Sharma Biography She hails all the way from UK and is the new Indipop star on the horizon. Vibha Sharma made forays into Indian Popdom with her debut album "Mehandi" which was warmly accepted by the music lovers. Its title song "Mehandi Lagaoongi Main" became a favorite for its melody and charm.
Despite having stayed in London all her life, Vibha has always had a great liking for Indian music. But she never thought of taking music seriously until she won a singing competition in which more than 700 Indians from all over Europe had participated. As a result she took to learning Indian classical music under the tutelage of Parshottam Kapila in London, and later on, when she came to India she continued her training under the guidance of Pt Ajay Pohankar.
Once her vocals were honed to a level respectable enough to wield a microphone, she began hobnobbing with Bollywood's music directors. The first one to recognize her singing talent was Anu Malik, who, once having heard her in London, offered her to sing for two songs in "Ishq". Vibha did some more playback singing before cutting her own private album with Anand Raj Anand.
