Sandeep Sawant Biography Sandeep Sawant was born in 1965 in a small village in western coastal India. Later he grew up in the metro city Mumbai. He has done Masters in Applied Psychology. He has worked as a counselor for some time during and after his masters.
He has been active writer and director in Marathi parallel theatre for last fifteen years. Many one act plays for different competitions are under his belt.
In 1996 he directed a 45-minute pilot episode of Hindi TV serial called 'Ashmavedh'. Also few short films, few corporate films are there to his credit as a director. He has also written episodes for few Hindi TV serials.
The film Shwaas is his directorial debut. He has written the screenplay and dialogues as well for this film. He has won many different awards of 2004 for Best Direction, Best Screenplay and Best Dialogues for this film.
