This is the first ever collaboration between the PlayStation and Bollywood. Shahrukh Khan along with Sony PlayStation launched ‘RA.One-The Game’, in a prequel to the coming Shahrukh Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer superhero flick Ra.One. The villain of the film Arjun Rampal and Armaan Verma (the kid in Ra.One) were also present at the game launch.

We can say that the game launch is a smart move by Shahrukh Khan, who is turning out to be a marketing king with the release of Ra.One is inching close. PlayStation games are great and are enjoying popularity amongst the young in India. The game has been developed in a manner that it introduces characters and their superpowers from the film Ra.One. Shahrukh was personally involved in developing the storyline of the game. At the launch Arjun Rampal and Shahrukh Khan even tried their hands on playing the game.

While unveiling the game, Shahrukh Khan said, “I was extremely happy with the interactions with Sony team in developing the game. They were gracious in allowing me to write the storyline.”

The game is priced at Rs 499 for PlayStation2 in a CD and Rs 999 for a CD of PlayStation3, while a bundled console will come for Rs 5,999. PlayStation2 is meant for the Indian market while PlayStation3 is for the international market.

The game was developed in collaboration with Red Chillies Entertainment and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. The game boasts of a series of firsts: a first full cycle BluRay PS3 game developed with an Indian developer; first console game to be dubbed by a leading Bollywood actor and also the first Bollywood title to appear as a full cycle PlayStation game.
