The director of Student of the Year, Karan Johar, and the cast members -- Siddharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, and Alia Bhatt -- were spotted promoting their upcoming film at the 93.5 Red FM studios, in Mumbai!

Well, since the trailer of Student of the Year has released, there are many people who have felt that it is a romantic film! During a recent media interaction, Karan Johar said: “Well, predominantly it is not a love story; it’s definitely to do with the younger generation, and what competition does to destroy relationships”

Karan Johar added: “I would say it’s a story about friendship -- the friendship between the two lead protagonists! The film has love as a layer that runs through the friendship and at the core level it is about what competition does to kids that age!”
