Bollywood actress Kajol was clicked as she celebrated the Global Handwashing Day, yesterday, 15 October, in Mumbai.

Kajol, along with Nitin Paranjpe, CEO & MD, Hindustan Unilever Limited, led a country-wide hand hygiene awareness campaign and celebrated the Global Handwashing Day.

At the event, Kajol spoke to children about the need for washing hands with soap on key occasions during the day. Even Nitin Paranjpe interacted with the media and is quoted as saying: “Lifebuoy is asking the people of India to support the cause by pledging to ‘help a child reach their fifth birthday' through hand-washing with soap. For every pledge, we will teach the lifesaving habit to one more child through our hand-washing behaviour change programme.”
