Bollywood pays homage to India’s original He-Man Dara Singh. Celebs like Rishi Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Tabu, Zarine Khan and many others from the fraternity gathered to pay their last respects to the legendary Dara Singh, who was cremated in suburban Vile Parle yesterday, July 12, afternoon.

Not only Bollywood folks but thousands of fans witnessed his final journey as his body was taken in a procession in a truck decorated with flowers, from his home 'Dara Villa' to the Pawan Hans crematorium, where the last rites were performed by his three sons including TV-film actor Vindu Dara Singh.

Besides family members, those present from the film industry at the funeral were veteran actor Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Khan with wife Zareen Khan, Fardeen Khan, Mahi Gill, director Sajid Khan, actor-director Parmeet Sethi, TV producer Dheeraj Kumar, veteran actor Ranjeet, singer Gurdas Maan, Puneet Issar, and Raza Murad.

Abhishek Bachchan, Tabu, Bobby Deol, Manoj Kumar and others went to his residence in Juhu to pay condolences. Veteran Bollywood actor Manoj Kumar talks about Dara Singh, “He was considered to be king of everyone's heart. He became a lawmaker in Rajya Sabha and worked there with dedication, hard work and honesty. He was an ideal friend, father, husband and son. He was also a symbol of humanity.”

The 84-year-actor was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in an emergency condition on July 7. He had suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away on Thursday morning at his residence in Mumbai.
