The Pardes girl, Mahima Choudhary has had a good year so far with her performance in Dil Kya Kare being much appreciated despite the presence of a veteran like Kajol in the film.
And now we have a Mahima double-bill—Deewane and Dhadkan – running on silver screens nationwide.
However, the fact that both these films have just short stints by Mahima account for a little disappointment among her fans. It seems that the beautiful lass who wowed the audience in her very first film is now been sidelined to do secondary roles.
But for Mahima it is “the strength of a role”, rather than its length and proportion, that counts. She has another such short stint in Rajkumar Santoshi's forthcoming Lajja.
Besides, Mahima also has some plum roles up her sleeves. Currently she is busy shooting with Akshay Kumar for Khiladi 420, she will be pairing with Sanjay Dutt in Mahesh Manjrekar’s next venture Kurukshetra, and with Govinda in Dil Ke Aas Paas. She is also doing a love story with Manoj Bajpai. The film is expected to hit the turnstiles next year.
So all you soothsayers who are busy writing this beautiful lass off, think twice. She may have been on the margins for sometime but is very much under the arc lights.
