Neelam, in her early thirties now, gave quite a few hits opposite Govinda and was also wooed by him to be his real life queen. The girl refused Chi Chi and fell in love instead with Dharam's younger puttar Bobby Deol.
Neelam and Bobby Deol had a steady relationship for years before Bobby dumped her for Pooja Bhatt. The dumping was labeled 'unceremonious' and the entire industry was on Neelam's side. Neelam emerged a winner from the crisis and was ready to live life. She looked forward to work and started enjoying with her friends.
Bobby in turn, suffered a major heart-break when Pooja Bhatt simply stopped seeing his face. The jolt was so unexpected for Bobby that he ran deep into drinking and rotting.
