The word is finally out. Chhote Miyan Govinda is all set to follow the foot steps of Bade Miyan Big B. The nimble-footed prankster will host the game show 'Govinda Chhappar Phaad Ke' for Sony TV.
The one hour, four-days-a-week show is based on a unique Indian concept in which the winners will get non-taxable exciting booties like flats, cars, refrigerators and similar durable items. The 18 month deal that Govinda has struck with Sony will leave him rich by 20 crore.
The basic idea behind roping Govinda in was to put the zing factor that's lacking in ZEE's 'Sawal Dus Crore Ka'. No doubt Govinda's sleek puns and slapstick jokes will go down well with the audience and may even become the show's USP.
For Govinda it is more than a mere switch over from his gaudily clad routine to suave designer outfits. He is already infamous for playing truant with his dates and it would certainly be a task at hand for him to fulfill his cinematic obligations and also meet his show deadlines.
