First it was the length of the role and then the kissing scene. Initially, Shamita showed reservations in enacting the scene but on Aditya Chopra’s insistence went ahead. Now she is back to complaining about it. “I did not feel comfortable doing that scene at all, but I had complete faith in Adi. I thought that the scene would be justified in the film. In any case, it felt uneasy and now I regret doing it’’.
Sister Shilpa was naive, and for a wolf-infested world like Bollywood it wasn’t surprising that she got taken for rides often. Shamita unlike Shilpa, is an intelligent woman and knew that saying ‘No’ to Aditya Chopra would mean a professional suicide. Therefore, she waited and spoke at the right time. Smart girl Shamita!
