It is time for model-turned actor Rahul Dev to heave a sigh of relief. After all the waiting, which seemed like eternity, the brawny ramp-scorcher will finally hit the silver screen with "Champion".
Rahul would have realized his dream a long time back had his first film "Dus" not been shelved forever following the untimely demise of it's director Mukul Anand. Being among the most sought-after models it wasn’t however a big deal for Rahul to clinch another film (Champion). But, stars, so it seems, were not in his favor.
Owing to the dates problems of other stars "Champion" progressed with more bounds than leaps. It took five years to finally complete the film.
His wait is over now. Rahul sizzles the big screen in a role that has shades of grey. In the film he plays Naseer, a computer nerd who goes on a killing spree to avenge the death of his near ones. The film has Sunny Deol and Manisha Koirala in the lead.
Besides, things are looking pretty good for him as he is working on several important projects like Santosh Sivan's "Ashoka the Great" in which he plays second fiddle to SRK and Indra Kumar's "Aashiq".
Being a model has already been a boon to Rahul. And now films come as added bonus.
