Ms Jhangiani on the move

This young girl never really nurtured the hope of stepping under the arc lamps. Little did she know what fate had in store for her!

Preeti Jhangiani had lady luck knocking on her door when young filmmaker Aditya Chopra approached her for a brief role in his celluloid dream Mohabbatein. With much hesitation Preeti accepted the offer and set her foot in tinsel town. Since then there has been no looking back for the budding actress.

Preeti became better known as the heroine of Rajshree's music video "Yeh Hai Pyaar". The de-glamorized role of a widow she played in "Mohabbatein" brought her to the notice of many a filmmaker. Having already worked in the south (in films like Mazeville and Hello) Preeti has ample experience to confidently face the lens and is therefore the obvious choice of a director looking for a fresh face.

Hailing from a conservative Sindhi family Preeti is pretty much reserved about the way she wants to pursue her career. She is very choosy about the roles she wants to play. Yet there is no dearth of films in her kitty.

Today she has four projects on her hands. There is one opposite Bobby Deol in a Mahesh Manjrekar film, another one opposite Aftab Shivdasani in a Vikram Bhatt film.
Besides filmmaker Pahlaj Nihalani seems too impressed by Preeti's talent. For he has signed her in two of his forthcoming films -- one with Sunny Deol and the other with Fardeen Khan.

That sounds like quite a handful for the girl who has had just a single release in Bollywood.
