High profile candle designer Dimple Kapadia keeps switching smoothly between her hobbies and acting assignments.

Undoubtedly Dimple Kapadia is a woman of substance. Right from the beginning of her career, she had had her priorities in right order. She took a long hibernation from the big screen at the unlikeliest time when she was among the big league of actresses, to give her undivided attention to her growing daughters. Now that both Twinkle and Simple have grown up, Dimple is foraying back into film world.

In her second avtaar as an actress, Dimple is bagging sensitive roles. We already know that she is playing an important role opposite Akshay Khanna in first-time director Farhaan Akhtar's (Javed Akhtar's son) Dil Chahta Hai. The film also features seasoned performers like Aamir and Saif.

The lady has bagged another meaty role in the English film Leela by Lemon Tree Films. To be directed by Somnath Sen, the film also casts Vinod Khanna and Gulshan Grover. Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh and Shantanu Moitra (of Ab Ke Sawan fame) will score the music to Gulzar’s lyrics.

Dimple who has cut laudable performances in films like Rudaali is euphoric at the prospect of her career taking off well after a long hiatus.

She may be aging, but not an iota of her beauty has withered. After all it isn’t for nothing, she is paired opposite Akshay, who's much younger to her, in one film and opposite his father Vinod Khanna in another.
