Renowned Santoor maestro Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma's prodigious son Rahul Sharma is all set to embark on his career as a composer for Bollywood films.

Coming from the distinguished lineage Rahul has grown up listening to his father and imbibed his musical sense. Now that he is an adept at Santoor and better understands the intricacies and finesse of music, he is confident of taking independent composing assignments.

No sooner said than done, he has already clinched his first project. He will compose for Yash Chopra's forthcoming Mujhse Dosti Karoge which has Hrithik opposite Rani Mukherji and Kareena Kapoor while Uday Chopra will make a special appearance in the film. To direct the film Yash Chopra has roped in Kunal Kohli.

Although Rahul had earlier assisted his father while composing the music score of Yash’s film Lamhe it is the first time when the onus to compose the entire score has fallen on his shoulders. Anyone in his place would have got jitters but Rahul is determined to cut a dash with the music he is sure everyone would easily identify with.
