Lisa Ray has never hidden her intentions, as far as Bollywood is concerned.
Despite having all that it takes to sizzle the big screen, Lisa was never too keen in settling down as the heroine no. 1 of Bollywood's mainstream cinema. She has also been accused of a laid-back attitude towards her film career.
If this is resulting in her losing grip on Bollywood, Lisa doesn't care. After Kasoor, just as everybody was thinking that a talented actress was in the making, and just when it seemed she had made a place in the Bhatt camp (after she signed another Vikram Bhatt’s film Raaz), Lisa springs a surprise and walks out of the project.
Contrary to rumors saying she was booted out of the film (because Vikram was disturbed by the bad reviews she got by some critics) Lisa herself chose to disassociate from the project, as Vikram wanted bulk dates from her for a long and hectic schedule in Ooty. This would have meant that Lisa had to play truant for her show on the Star TV ('Star Buzz') with Kelly Dorjee, and one more show she has signed for an upcoming channel.
Weighing the options Lisa finally chose to excuse herself from Raaz. All this was done in a very amicable way and the decision was taken unanimously so that there is no room for misunderstanding between the two. And Vikram too didn’t brood over the incident but instantly replaced her with another model-turned actress Bipasha Basu whom we will soon see opposite Bobby Deol in Abbas Mastan’s forthcoming Ajnabee.
Lisa's departure from Vikram's film would also mean that Raaz will now see real life couple Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu enacting romance on reel.
