Kumar Gaurav, the chocolate hero of the 80s, is at last coming out of self- imposed hibernation. And it is none other than his brother-in-law Sanjay Dutt who is helping to bounce back to Bollywood.
Sanjay Dutt is venturing into film production after forming his company White Feather Films along with his friend Sanjay Gupta. The duo have plans to launch their film titled Kaantein the coming months and Kumar Gaurav has a very important role in it.
Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the film is based on Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs". It is about seven bank robbers who loot a bank. Driven by greed, they kill one another. Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Mahesh Manjrekar, Akshay Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan play the trigger-happy robbers and Kumar Gaurav plays the undercover cop recruited to nab them.
Kumar is convinced that Kaante will catapult him back into the limelight.
We saw Kumar last year in an inconsequential film "Gang." Since then the man has not been on silver screen. He made his small screen debut in Rishta Kachche Dhagon Ka which has not done him any good.
His plans to produce a film called Chakra are in cold storage too.
