He is well known in international film circles for his distinctive storytelling and unique style of direction. Manoj Night Shyamalan’s penchant for the supernatural continues with the man spinning yet another spooky yarn.

Shyamalan is through writing the script of his next film , tentatively titled “Signs”. And Walt Disney, the famous entertainment company, has bought the script for an undisclosed amount. Shyamalan, had become one of the highest paid scriptwriters in Hollywood after he sold the script of “Unbreakable” for a whopping $5 million. There is a strong feeling in the trade circles that the script of “Signs” too fetched him an amount close to that.

Once again Shyamalan is on familiar ground and spins an eerie story. The plot centers round the sudden and strange appearance of mysterious circles and lines furrowing the field of a farmer's family in Buck County, a place famous for its scenic beauty. Are there signs of a UFO’s presence or is there more to the mystery? Shyamalan almost leaves you craving for the answers.

Although Shyamalan himself refuses to divulge the details, sources close to him say that the film will once more have his favorite Bruce Willis in the lead cast.

A young filmmaker of Indian origin from Philadelphia, Shyamalan had catapulted into the limelight with his mega hit “The Sixth Sense” which grossed a mind-boggling $650 million worldwide (becoming one of the ten most money-making films in Hollywood) and garnered six academy nominations.

His “Unbreakable” however was a low key fare and only raked in $ 250 million. It remains to be seen how “Signs” will fare at the box office.
