After her debut film “Kasoor”, gorgeous model-turned-actress Lisa Ray had shown a distinct disinclination to pursue a career in Bollywood. However, a filmmaker from South has succeeded in breaking the reserve of the lissome lass.

After much ado about whether she should make a career out of acting, Lisa has agreed to do a Kannada film to be made by Kanakpura Srinivas. Tentatively titled Yuvaraja the film will pit Lisa opposite dashing hero Shivaraj Kumar.

Yuvaraja is a remake of the Telugu film Thammudu which was a super hit down South and had Chiranjeevi’s brother Pavan Kalyan in the lead.

Lisa has sprung surprises ever since she stepped under the arc lamps. While all the newcomers in the industry easily tend to succumb to the razzle-dazzle of the showbiz Lisa has remained unaffected by it. From day one she had made it clear that she wasn’t enthusiastic about pursuing a career in Bollywood.

It soon became apparent that she meant what she said when she walked out of the few films she had signed. In one instance she had given her word to Vikram Bhatt to play the female lead in one of his forthcoming films “Raaz” (opposite another rampwalker Dino Morea) but excused herself from the project later on.

In fact, Lisa seems more content hosting shows on Television (like Star Biz on the small screen with Kelly Dorji).
