VJ-turned-actor Rahul Khanna has been signed to play an important role in Hollywood film The Palace Thief.
The movie, directed by Michael Hoffman (Soapdish, One Fine Day), has Kevin Kline, Patrick Dempsey, Rob Morrow and Roger Rees.
Based on a short story by Ethan Canin, from a collection also titled The Palace Thief, the film is about a history and ethics teacher (Kevin Kline) in a posh New England (USA) boys boarding school and his (mentor) relationship with a troubled student which stretches over 30 years (from the 70s to present day).
Khanna, who is son of actor-turned-politician Vinod Khanna, is also working in the Spike Lee produced, Lee Davis directed 3AM, which is due for release in July. The movie also stars Danny Glover and Pam Grier.
