The evergreen hero of Bollywood Dev Anand is unfazed by the debacle of his much-hyped film “Censor” and is readying for his next fling at the megaphone.
As the folks in Bollywood say “ideas keep taking shape in Dev Anand’s mind”. His spirits not dampened by the extremely poor response his film “Censor” got from the movie aficionados Dev has moved on to his next project “Love At The Times Square” and started working on it.
According to the buzz Dev has roped in none other than the vagabond singer Lucky Ali to act in it. What’s more Lucky will also be composing the music for the film.
Henee Kaushik ( a Dev Anand discovery who made her debut in “Censor”) will once more get to play the female lead while Dev is said to be contemplating on roping in Fardeen Khan to play the second male lead.
“Love At The Times Square,” says Dev “is a strong subject” ( a love story with autobiographical tones set in the foreign land) and will have music as an intrinsic part. Dev believes that Lucky Ali—who has sort of become the icon of today’s youth-- is the right choice to compose its music score. And contrary to the grapevine that things could not materialize between Dev and Lucky owing to the moolah factor, the twosome have agreed to work together.
Dev is already said to have shot a few scenes for the film at the actual location ( Times Square, New York) at the turn of the millennium party on 31 December.
Now with that jazzy snazzy subject and interesting ensemble Dev seems to have finally got his finger on the pulse of movie buffs.
