After a disastrous Bollywood debut opposite junior Bachchan in “Tera Jaado Chal Gaya.” Keerti Reddy, the svelte lass from down south, is hoping her jadoo will work in her second Hindi film “Pyar Ishq aur Mohabbat”.
What works in South may not work in Bollywood. This became apparent when Keerti Reddy, actress of the superhit film in south “Tholi Prema”, failed to prick many brows in Bollywood despite her gorgeous looks and hour-glass figure.
But Keerti, who is aspiring to shift her base to Bollywood, is not disheartened yet. She sounds confident speaking about her second release, Rajiv Rai’s “Pyar, Ishq aur Mohabbat”.
She dubs “PIM” as “a very special film”. She says it is not one of those slushy romantic dramas but a lighthearted love story with an unusual punch of comedy.
What’s particularly special about “PIM” is that Keerti has a lot of footage in the film. In the film – believed to be a rough rehash of Hollywood blockbuster “There’s something about Marry” – three dashing hunks Sunil Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani and the model-turned-actor Arjun Rampal vie for Keerti’s love.
Keerti concedes candidly that with time she has come to know her “weaknesses and strengths”. Having brought up in south India Keerti accepts she is not well versed with Hindi and therefore has been sprucing her diction to get a firm grasp over dialogue delivery. Besides this she has been paying careful attention to subtle nuances of acting. Sounds clichéd? But the Reddy lass is not getting away with words only. She rather wants her work to speak for itself.
