Yash Chopra has signed Madhuri Dixit to play a mom in his next film.
According to Bollywood Grapevine, the Chopras were looking for a high-profile actress to star opposite the charismatic Amitabh Bachchan. Their first choice was Sridevi. But the role wasn't meaty enough for the ‘Thunder Thighs’ to contemplate a comeback. So they decided to approach Madhuri.
Initially, Mrs. Nene turned down the offer. But Madhuri's hubby talked her out of her reluctance. Mr. Nene reportedly reminded her that she owed the Chopras a good turn. And that did the trick. Madhuri relented.
