One-film-wonder Preeti Jhangiani may be a tenderfoot under the arc lamps but she does have the potential to tickle a few funny bones before camera.
What better acting test could there be for a newcomer in tinsel town than to be pitched opposite apna Virar ka chokra Govinda. Yes, Preeti has taken up the challenge. She has agreed to do Manoj Aggarwal’s next comic caper “Wah Tera Kya Kehna” opposite Chi Chi. The film, previously titled “Tera Naam Mera Naam”, also has ravishing Raveena in an important role.
Preeti, who made her debut in Aditya Chopra’s “Mohabbatein”, is reported to be jubilant over having bagged a film opposite Bollywood’s top entertainer.
Initially, Manoj had signed another newcomer Amrita Arora to play Govinda’s love interest in the film but replaced her with Preeti at the eleventh hour. He is reported to be happy with Preeti’s sense of timing and flair for comedy.
The film recently had a sixteen-day shooting stint at Ramoji Rao Film City where two songs and some romantic and action sequences were canned.
Others in the credits include Shammi Kapoor, Mohnish Behl, Navin Nischol and Shakti Kapoor.
