The censor boards of Qatar and Kuwait have banned Hindi film Chandni Bar, which stars Tabu in the lead role.
According to these censor boards, sex, incest and homosexuality portrayed in the film were unfit for public viewing.
Chandni Bar is about the bargirls of Mumbai and the film is drawing rave reviews and is also being critically acclaimed all over India. Tabu has been appreciated for her superb performance in the film.
Qatar and Kuwait had earlier also banned J P Dutta's Border and the Sunny Deol starrer Gadar-Ek Prem Katha, because they felt that the subjects were anti-Muslim.
